Out of the work undertaken by the WPA
to help unemployed women
there has developed a movement
to place some of these women on the land on co-operative lines.
Some Melbourne women ...
have entered into arrangements
with the Closer Settlement Board
for the purchase of a block of land at Mordialloc,
suitable for flower farming, fruit growing,
poultry raising etc.
